Terms of service

These terms apply to the services of numerinho, a trading name of ZAHARD LTD, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, company number 14503377, VAT GB 452262020, contact@numerinho.com ("we").
1. The service
We prepare and file, on your behalf, the application for a Portuguese NIF, and send you your number by email once the Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira has issued it.
- For an individual: €99, VAT included.
- For a company registered outside Portugal (NIPC): €499, VAT included.
numerinho is a private service, not affiliated with the Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira. The NIF itself is issued free of charge, and you can apply for it yourself at a Finanças office in Portugal. Our price covers the service of doing it for you.
2. How a contract is made
Sending a request on the website costs nothing and does not commit you. We then call you back to confirm what you need, the documents and the price. The contract is made when you confirm your order with us and pay, outside the website. We confirm it by email.
3. What we need from you
- An individual: a valid identity document, a proof of address, and a power of attorney signed online that allows us to apply on your behalf.
- A company: the company documents we list for you after reviewing your situation, and the documents its representative signs.
You confirm that the information and documents you send are accurate and yours, or that you are allowed to send them.
4. Delay
We usually deliver your NIF in a few days once we have your complete documents. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed date: the issue of the number depends on the Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira.
5. Payment
The price is shown before you apply and includes VAT. We ask for payment once we have confirmed what you need.
6. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the day it is made, without giving any reason. To withdraw, tell us clearly, for example by email to contact@numerinho.com. We refund you within 14 days, by the means you used to pay.
If you ask us to start the service before the 14 days end, you pay for the part already done if you withdraw later. Once the service is fully performed, with your express request and your acknowledgement, you lose the right of withdrawal.
7. If the application cannot be filed or is refused
- Your information. Delays or errors caused by information or documents that are incorrect, incomplete or sent late are your responsibility.
- Requirements not met. If you do not meet the requirements of the application, or if the service is misused, we may refuse or stop the service. The work already done remains due; work not yet started is not charged.
- Decision of the administration. The NIF is issued by the Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira. We file a complete and correct application, but we do not control its decisions or its delays.
8. Our responsibility
We do our best to file a complete and correct application. We are not responsible for the decisions or delays of the Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira, nor for errors in the information you give us. Our liability is limited to the price you paid for the service, except where the law does not allow such limits. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.

11. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country, and you can bring a claim before the courts of your country.
Companies
When the customer is a company acting for its business, sections 1 to 5 and 7 to 11 apply. The right of withdrawal in section 6 is for consumers only.
